The Company
The R. Pay Company, started in 1999 as a management consultancy dedicated to helping companies realize their operations potential through waste reduction and improved use of resources. We consult with the top-level executive team to develop operations strategy, conduct operations evaluations, identify and attain productivity improvements, and staff development through mentoring and training programs. We deliver breakthrough results with a goal of providing a return on our client's consulting investment of from 3 to 30 times our fees.
We take an executive perspective on operations issues looking not just at operations itself, but also at the interfaces and impacts of the entire organization. We identify problems and issues taking a holistic and systemic approach to operations evaluation.

Where we make the biggest impact is in companies with revenues of from $3 million to $100 million in the manufacturing, distribution, retail and service sectors. Occasionally we serve much larger clients as well as clients in other sectors.
Rick Pay
As principal of THE R. PAY COMPANY LLC, Rick Pay has over 30 years of leadership, consulting and operations experience. Rick has demonstrated success in producing breakthrough results in operations, materials and inventory management, accounting, and administrative functions. He also has leadership skills in developing teams of executives and managers, ranging from the executive team of a rapidly growing company, to non-profit and association boards.
Rick has built a strong background in productivity and process improvement through his more than 20 years as a consultant and seven years as Vice President, Operations for a manufacturing company. He has the demonstrated ability to quickly assess the situation and isolate problems and solutions for companies providing quick results.
As VP, Operations, Rick was responsible for the entire manufacturing and procurement operation, and helped lead the company through a world class transformation achieving dramatic results. His direct reports included production, fabrication, die casting, plastic injection molding, machine shop, procurement, logistics, warehouse, returns and repairs, as well as facilities. Rick also has experience in the Asia market through development of a sales and manufacturing joint venture in China.
Rick earned a B.S. in business administration from Colorado State University and a M.B.A. with a focus on business systems from the University of Montana. He attended the Stanford Business School Executive Program for Product Development and Manufacturing Strategy and MIT programs on Operations Strategy and Supply Chain Management.
